Stress/Strain Calculations

Hi guys. For now, I have decided to save politics for later and do some more engineering. For today, I will just post a simple engineering question:

Determine the max load that a 0.50 in diameter steel rod can support if the normal stress in the rod must not exceed 24,000 psi.

For tomorrow, I will answer this question and teach some related concepts. Then I will add some more tough questions to be answered.

  2. Can I simply say what a relief to uncover somebody who truly understands what they’re talking about on the net. You definitely understand how to bring a problem to light and make it important. More people must look at this and understand this side of your story. I was surprised you are not more popular since you certainly possess the gift.
